Will doing sit ups/crunches help me get rid of stomach fat?
I’ve decided to start doing sit ups everyday. Do you think if I do crunches during a 3 minute song (stopping for a few seconds once in a while) and do sit ups during another song, will It help me lose stomach fat. I’m not very heavy, it’s just that all the fat is in my belly, no where else.
I also run about 2 miles a day.
Doing the crunches (or any ab exercise) won’t directly cause you to lose fat in that region. However, doing the crunches will increase your muscle strength and definition in that area. But, if you want those abs to show you have to take a full body weight loss approach. Keep your cardio up but don’t do the same thing for too long. Switch up your routine every 2 weeks or so. Also, incorporate some full body strength training exercises. Finally, and most importantly, check your diet. There are tons of great resources out there for diet plans. I recommend keeping protein intake fairly high, while keeping carbs and fats to a moderate consumption. Experiment and see what works for you. Find a diet and exercise plan that keeps you energized. This is a sure way to know it’s working.

its not the loss of weight its the toning of muscle. exercise a lot with focus on your abs and try to eat well and sooner or later you should have a nice six pack
