am 18 years old and am 5’2. i weight 147 i should be 120 around there because of my height. all i want is to lose a little bit of weight cause am not fat am just over weight and i wanna lose my little belly and get abs. also am cuban.. usually cuban girls have big thighs and i have that problem. i totally wanna lose it. i work out every day this is what am doing in the morning i eat coco puffs with fat free milk, maybe the black fiber bread with ham and cheese then 3 hours later i eat food alittle bit of rise and meat. special K bars.and then like around 5 or 6 i eat soup everyday with crackers. i do sit ups side ways and front i run at the park and i work out in the air climer.. you think i should do something eles?? help me and tell me what eles can i do to lose weight

You are definitely on the right track, but I think if you did even more cardio (running, jogging, etc.) you would burn fat faster. You can also change your diet a bit, I find that a high protein and low carb diet works really well, and will not only help you lose weight but make you look more toned.

Eating healthy is the most important part. Try to avoid eating any processed foods, wheat, sugar, and cheese as much as you can (but don’t deprive yourself) and eat more fruits, vegetables, and foods high in protein like meat, seafood, beans, nuts, etc. I’d also recommend something like a protein shake for after workouts or as a small meal.

Meal size and quantity is also important: try to eat 5+ small meals everyday as opposed to 3 large ones, and avoid snacking. You can also boost your metabolism for the day by getting in some exercise early in the morning, so if possible go for a short run before breakfast in addition to your workouts.

Yogic Diet

This is very important, if you wish to get back into shape and develop a healthy, slim and shapely physique. Let your diet be Yogic and Sattvic (pure, light and predominantly vegetarian). This means plenty of raw foods – salads, sprouts and seasonal fruit – vegetable juices, dried fruits and loads of water.

Avoid potatoes, peas, chick peas, grams, peanuts, all non-veg fare, fried, fatty and spicy foods, junk / fast foods, packaged foodstuffs and confectionary products. Also keep away from milk and milk products such as cheeses and butter. But you may have plenty of diluted buttermilk prepared from skimmed milk. Avoid snacking between meals and, as mentioned before, never skip a meal.

vets-F.I.P question?

recently we adopted 2 kittens,rescues,different litters.they bonded and are gr8 friends.one became very ill after we got her,but antibiotics worked.the vet was not sure what she had,but there was a hi white cell count @ the time.(infection of some kind.)the kittens will be 6 months old in 3 weeks.just this week,they both suddenly developed diarrhea.they were given rice,and that has stopped it.they are playing and eating.my wife thinks we overfed wet food,and thats what caused it.also,we switched to a different brand of dry food.she says its just a tummy upset,but im worried.one of the kittens has always had a protruding pot belly,a sign of fip.but she has been healthy till now.she does eat a lot from the dry food feeder,so maybe its fat? it worries me,tho.her belly looks big.they are both indoor cats,spayed and up-t-date on shots and worming.am i over-protective?or do u think they have fip?(i am a bit of a hypochondriac,i look up illnesses on the web and worry)

They normally stop eating with the wet form of FIP. They feel full because there abdomens are full of fluid. A test can be done to determine if the cells in the fluid are right for FIP. A vet would have to determine if it is fluid and then draw some out with a needle. Also keep in mind that sometimes parasites are not detected. If the parasite is not shedding eggs at the time the stool sample is taken to be tested, then they do not show up on a microscope. Also, a lot of vets have their technitions check the fecal samples and sometimes the techs are not fully trained in spotting the parasite. Maybe you should have another sample checked and have them both wormed again just in case. There is a different wormer for tape worms than is used for hook, fluke, and round worms and there are other sorts of parasites as well. Ask the vet to be sure to check the fecal for you for a second opinion.

How to lose fat in my stomach/abdomen region and get a stretched belly?

I am always concerned about having a stretched abdomen, I had appetite loss for around 2 months that made me lose a lot of fat around that region and it was almost flat…
Now that I started eating "kind of" normal, I had the same bumpy belly I used to have before…. Any suggestions?

specific areas, you should target them with exercises. If they are

to work double on them. The best approach is this:

weight, lower for overweight).
2. Run/jog to lower your overall body fat percentage.
3. Target your problem areas with exercises.
an excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on a
stool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture,
for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make sure
that it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or you
will damage your back and spine! Slowly move the upper part of your
body back, until it’s parallel with the ground. Stop for a second and
move it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times. Every week add
to the number of repetitions. You will see the results in a week,
guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat – if you have any – six
pack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than these
crunches – I came up to three hundreds and there was no results AT
ALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week.

How do I lose fat?!?!?!?
