Flat Belly Tips

useful information on getting a flat belly

Losing belly fat is easy, even without crunches!

Wouldn’t it be great if you could lose belly fat by eating?  Or if you could get a six pack by losing belly fat without doing any more crunches?  Well, it is possible with the right training.

For losing belly fat, you first need to know why fat collects around your midsection.  The reason that the stomach area is so suceptible to flabby love handles and an extended belly is because of the extra fat layer combined with the relative lack of formed muscles.  The ab muscles are generally the least developed muscle group on people because they are not only used the least, but when they are used, they are not pushed to extremes.  That is why situps and crunches are used to build that nice six pack that everyone is looking for.

The problem with crunches and situps, however, is that you are not losing belly fat when you are doing them.  Sure, you are sweating and you are probably developing your stomace muscles, but with that extra layer of fat you have built up, you won’t be able to see what you are working so hard for.  The second, and most important part of the equation is eating the correct foods.

Eating the correct foods, and that doesn’t necessarily mean “heathly foods” can actually contribute to the loss of belly fat by increasing your metabolism.  You can essentially “eat your way” to a flat belly by eating the correct foods at the correct time.  Some healthy foods can actually contribute to your belly fat by slowing down your metabolism.

Of course, the alternative is hours and hours of running on a treadmill or jogging around town hoping that you are losing belly fat.  Or you could do hours every day of situps without ever seeing the results of your hard work.  Nutrition and what goes into your body is the key to losing belly fat and the key to your six pack abs.
